The Larvik Torvet project (1991-1999)
A collaboration between architects Ullrik Hellum and Peter Raugland with Makoto Fujiwara. Over a period of nearly a decade, this marketplace in the centre of Larvik has grown into a place of representation for locals. The project is supported by the City of Larvik and the many different companies working in the local stonemasonry industry. Together with its mineral water source, this site is part of what makes the region unique. Many volunteers, mostly students of different nationalities, helped bring this project to life.
